A Picture Post

Just a little post of what we have been up to lately.

Looking cute in matching outfits from Aunt Liss.

Messy faces.
Usually most meals end with Chloe doing a facial with whatever she was eating.

Potty Training!
Mags was a superstar when it came to potty-training... it only took one day and she had it down, I was so proud (and relieved).
Chloe was really into the whole thing. She would sit in the Dora chair and cheer just like Maggie was doing. She also enjoyed the chocolate chips every time Maggie had success.

Chloe's hat, she did this all by herself and was so proud.
Like I said...totally into potty-training!
I think this girl is going to be a breeze to train.

Matching Jammies, popcorn and Mary Poppins, you can't get much better than that.

Squishy Face!

Maggie turns 3. Chloe was such a good 'helper' with Maggie's presents.

Legos with Daddy

She was so excited about her new legos.

I love the look of concentration.

Blowing out her candles. I made an ice cream cake and it tasted exactly like Dairy Queen's.

Playing with Stella on her birthday. It was a good day :)

TRES!!!

Dear MagPie!
It's hard to believe that you are already 3 years old. You are smart and beautiful and an absolute light in my life. I love you so much, my amazing little girl.

At 3 you;
-love letters, you know all the letters, their sounds and signs and are starting to sound out words. You already recognize many words.
-are completely potty-trained after only 2 weeks. You wake up dry even after having a drink in the night.
-don't like sleeping alone. You've started having some bad dreams and have woken up screaming, it breaks my heart. You usually end up with Daddy sleeping with you, or you sleeping in 'Mommy's bed'.
-love to 'Snuggle Mommy'...which means, having me tickle your back and face.
-love Princesses, Wonder Pets, Disney movies, and much to your parent's chagrin, The Fresh Beat Band (yuck).
-are completely addicted to the computer, nickjr.com and starfall.com are your favourite sites.
-love nursery
-love to sing and know so many songs. You pretend that the bulb syringe is your microphone and you really get into your songs.
-are such a wonderful and patient big sister. You love your Coco, even when she is a big pest or mean to you, you are very forgiving and sweet.
-adore your Grandparents.
-are very social and love to play with other kids. You think other kids are hilarious and laugh and giggle when you play with them.
-eat really well and love your fruits and veggies.
-are very polite. You are quick to say 'please, thank you and sorry'. When we've gone out to eat you say 'thank you for the food' to our waitress, and when we were on a walk the other day, you said 'oh, sorry' to someone who had to jog around us. You always thank me when I finish doing your hair in the morning.
-are very much loved by your Mom, Dad, sister and many other friends and family.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABY GIRL

She is looking so grown up :)

Rise and Shout The Cougars Are Out

We decided that we needed to go to a BYU basketball game this year. Jackson Emery is a pretty good friend of ours, (he was our Home Teacher in our last ward) and we wanted to go cheer for him. It was also fun to be a part of the 'Jimmer-mania' that is crazy right now, he really is an amazing ball player.
It's a huge year for BYU and it's fun that we got to be there and watch them play.

We got to the game just as the team was coming out. It was dark and unbelievably loud in the Marriott Center and the girls both FREAKED! They were both terrified and screaming at the top of their lungs, it was quite funny actually.
We sat in our seats for about 2 minutes trying to get them to calm down, but it wasn't going to happen. We went out in the hall and let them run around and get settled down.
Dave and I took turns watching the game and started taking the girls in for little spurts at a time. Gradually, they decided that it was OK and I think they started to enjoy it. They would both clap and cheer, even when they were scared.

I got to see Jackson make a great interception, and Jimmer make a couple of sweet 3 pointers, so that's all I needed.
I took lots of pictures, so that Maggie and Chloe will have evidence that they watched (kind of) one of the best BYU teams in history.

My Cougars.
Dave the BYU alum and my 2 BYU babies.

Watching the Game. BYU vs University of Utah.

Check out the blue nails. We're hardcore fans.

Starting to enjoy the game.

Isn't she just cute?

Chloe LOVED the giant Cosmo.

After the game.
It was quite the workout trying to wrangle the 2 girls, but it was a fun day and I think it was worth it :)

Here are some cute videos for your enjoyment.
(don't worry they are really short, and pretty funny)
The first one is Chloe dancing to the half-time entertainment and the second one is Maggie reacting to BYU scoring....excitement + a little terror.

Some People's Children

I came across some old pictures of Dave today, so I decided to dig out some of mine just to compare. Maggie definitely looks like her Dad (I think it's really cute). Chloe might look more like me.
I think we made pretty cute kids, considering what we had to work with :)

Cleaning off the Camera

With Christmas just 5 days away, I figured that I needed to clean off the camera and get a post done about what we have been up to before I have a bunch of Christmas pictures to sort through. We've had a busy month and it seems like time is flying by.

ARIZONA
For Thanksgiving we headed to Arizona to spend time with my parents and a couple of my sibling's families at their time-share house. We had a great time and Maggie and Chloe loved playing with all their cousins. My parents got us tickets to the Suns game and babysat for us, it was wonderful, we don't get to go on dates very often. The girls traveled fairly well and it was fun trip for us

It is so nice when this happens, I wish this lasted for the entire drive.

Our cute driver

The new bridge at the Hoover Dam...it was so huge.

The Hoover Dam

I think it's crazy how it shows the past water levels with the bleached out rock.

We went to eat at a place called 'The Miner's Camp'. They brought out all you can eat beans, ham, rolls, potatoes and their delicious Ribs.
Chloe LOVED the Ribs

We went to see the Christmas lights at the Mesa Temple

Us with my Mom, Julie, Tanner and Kwynci
Grandma and Grandpa with some of their Grandkids

Dave, Maggie and Grandma looking at the Nativity.

I love this Picture.

Me and my sister Julie.
(She loves me, even though she doesn't look impressed)

Grandpa and Coco.

DECORATING OUR TREE
Maggie and Chloe were awesome helpers.

GINGERBREAD HOUSES AT G & G BETTS
She did a great job of decorating her house.

She did a great job of eating all her candy :).

Getting a little help from Grandpa.

SOME 'JUST BECAUSE' PICTURES
She got a little stuck. When Dave first found her, both feet were in the pot.

Our very own 'Geordi'.

Maggie loves watching 'The Colbert Report' with Dave....it's her favourite show, weird, I know.

THE PROVO TABERNACLE FIRE
I was heart-broken on Friday morning when I saw the images on-line of the Tabernacle on fire. I love this building and I think it is so sad that it has been destroyed. Dave and I took the girls to see it Friday afternoon. It was hard not to get emotional as I thought of all the wonderful meetings and concerts that have been held in that building and also all the hard work of the pioneers that built it.

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS
We are so blessed with wonderful friends and family and we hope that you all have an amazing Holiday Season.
LOVE, MAGGIE, LAURA, DAVE AND CHLOE
