Zzzzzzzz......
Whenever I read Maggie a book when someone falls asleep, such as Goodnight Gorilla, 5 Little Monkeys, or any of the Sandra Boynton night time books, I always do a really loud obnoxious snore sound. Maggie thinks it's hilarious. The past couple of days I have felt pretty crappy with a nasty case of mastitis. Basically, I feel like I have been run over by a semi-truck. Yesterday I spent a lot of time on the couch. I was only able to catch a few short naps since every time Maggie noticed I was asleep, she would put her face up to mine and do the horrible snoring sound she knows and loves....some things you never expect will come back to bite you in the butt.

The Girly Girls
I have a new goal to take more pictures of the girls. They are just growing up way too fast and changing everyday. Here are a few of the resent shots for your viewing pleasure.

Two of Maggie's favourite things are her precious 'Bunny' and Signing Time. It gets a little hard to hold Bunny and sign at the same time, so Maggie has figured out a way to do both.

Sunday afternoon I made some play dough for Mags, she has really enjoyed it. I love the look of concentration on her face.
Chloe loves to suck on her toes. Stay tuned for the picture of me doing this after my flexibility training ;)
Smooshie Face
OK, I'll admit it, I still rock Chloe to sleep most of the time. She is just so sweet and cuddly and I'm pretty much addicted to this face, I just can't get enough of it.
They seriously adore each other. Maggie asks to hold Chloe all the time even though it ALWAYS ends up like this....
Chloe loves to ATTACK!!!
Maggie is surprisingly patient with her sister. She has never freaked out or tried to retaliate in anyway. Chloe will have two fist fulls of poor Maggie's hair and Maggie will just say 'I stuck' and calmly wait for me to pry Chloe's kung-fu grip open to let her free.
I've been working out a lot at the house lately and Maggie is an excellent workout partner. She loves to 'march' and 'kick' with Momma. She was quite excited to be wearing my shoes to march.
Her Favourite Shirt (thanks Aunt Tammy). She asks to wear her 'melmo shirt' at least every other day. Unfortunately her mother isn't that on the ball with the laundry.
She now has 6 teeth (she's not even 7 months old). I think the top ones look so funny, they crack me up.
She's getting so big. She still hasn't mastered sitting by herself, but she is getting better everyday. I had to take this picture fast without getting a smile, every time I would talk to her she would get too excited and fall over.
Multi-tasking

Let's Get Physical

Random Pictures

Well there you have it. That's a pretty good look at what goes on at our house everyday. We don't leave the house very often, with 2 kids under 2 it's just too much work. Hopefully when spring is here the girls can see what it looks like outside :)

Poor Neglected Second Child
I realized this morning that I don't take nearly as many pictures of Chloe as I did with Maggie. I'm just more busy with 2 kids and every time I get the camera out it turns into a fight with Maggie...she thinks she needs to be the one holding the camera. So, this morning I took a few of Chloe while Maggie was still in bed. I love this little girl, she is just so dang cute and smiley.

Proud
I haven't seen this in years, but one of my friends put it on her blog and my heart swelled with pride. I am a Canadian living in America. I do love my life in the good ol' U.S of A, but as I watch the Olympics and see my Maple Leaf, the pride bubbles to the surface....and a few tears. Maggie says 'Canda' whenever she sees the flag, I love it!

Love Monkeys
Some of my nieces got adorable Sock Monkeys for Christmas. A friend of my sister's made them. I thought they were so cute, so I googled how to make them. I've made 2 (almost 3) and I'm really happy with how they turned out. One is going to Maggie's little friend, it's her birthday tomorrow. Maggie and Chloe will be getting their 'Love Monkeys' for Valentine's Day.

Happy Valentine's Day to Me
I have a wonderful husband...I really do. He is always watching out for me and is constantly looking for ways to make my life easier and happier. He is an amazing Dad and it melts my heart to see him with his girls, they both adore him.
Today I got Flowers! Dave has always brought me flowers. I've gotten them on every Valentine's Day since we've been together, every Mother's Day since we've been married (even before kids), and many other special occasions. They mean so much to me. Dave is pretty careful when it comes to money. Since we are still in the 'poor student phase' of life we don't do a lot of 'extras'. Miraculously, we have stayed pretty well out of debt while he's been in grad school and it's totally because of him. It was a hard adjustment for me to say goodbye to my cell phone and cable TV. We hardly ever eat out and I don't remember the last time we went on a 'real date'....it was before Maggie was born. Our Christmas present to each other was gas to drive to Canada. We try and get by with the minimum. I think that's why the flowers mean so much. My husband, the guy who clips coupons, goes through fliers, gets free samples of shampoo and other toiletries sent to me in the mail, goes out and spends money on something so frivolous because he knows how much I love them.
I know we won't be this poor for much longer, hopefully Dave gets a good job after graduation in April. Even though the flowers won't be such a such a financial sacrifice in the future, I'm pretty sure I will still enjoy them just as much.

Household Fun (and new vocabulary)
¿Why did Maggie go into hysterics? She was cowering in the corner next to the drain and howling.
¿Why did all of the toys in the tub get a bleach bath?
Both of these cases were coprogenic.
(Maggie had way too many raisins yesterday.)
